Speakers:

JJ Lietzke, General Counsel, Tauber Oil Company

Jonathan “JJ” Lietzke joined Tauber Oil Company November 1, 2021, as General Counsel/CLO. JJ is an energy attorney with broad expertise in commodity transactions. He has experience structuring and negotiating standardized and bespoke commodity transactions and mitigating risks inherent in energy trading. His counsel includes advising on contract structures, credit agreements, in trading, structured asset- based transactions, corporate governance and structure, litigation, regulatory compliance, and problem solving in general. Prior to joining Tauber Oil Company, JJ was legal counsel to Gunvor USA LLC and helped Gunvor grow its U.S. presence from its first trade to producing $20 billion in revenue annually. Before Gunvor, JJ worked for Atmos Energy Corporation supporting their traders, pipeline operations, and on occasion right-of-way team. Additionally, he was an advisory board member of Lone Star Federal Credit Union. JJ also served as Legislative Aide to Texas State Representative Joe Moody of El Paso during the 81st Texas Legislature. JJ holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence, Masters in Business Administration, and Bachelors in Business Management, each from Texas Tech University.

 

Rob Smith, Senior Vice President – Finance, Tauber Oil Company

Rob Smith joined Tauber Oil Company in January 2021 as Senior Vice President of Finance.  Rob has worked in various financial leadership roles for close to 40 years.  Most recently, Rob was an Executive Director with ABN AMRO covering the Energy Commodity Sector.  Prior to that, Rob worked for BNP Paribas, Atmos Energy Corporation, Dynegy, and Wells Fargo.   Rob holds a B.S in Finance from University of South Florida and an M.S. in Finance from Indiana University.

 

Al Dabney, Vice President – Credit, Tauber Oil Company

Al joined Tauber Oil Company in May 2022 as the Vice President of Credit. Prior to joining Tauber Oil Company, Al worked as a licensed banker officer and later as a credit approval officer at JP Morgan Chase Bank. Most recently, Al held various positions within Energy Transfer’s credit risk department from 2014‐2022. Al holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Dallas.
