Join the IECA as we return to presenting the CLEG Lunch and Learn and take a dive into indemnity and its contractual obligation where one party agrees to compensate another for certain losses or liabilities. Indemnity provisions are commmonly used to allocate risk between in energy trading agreements.
The following key topics will be discussed: Third Party vs. Counterparty Claims, Recovery of Consequential and Incidental Damages.

Attendees can attend in person or virtually. All those who attend will receive a zoom registration link in their confirmation email. The webinar WILL NOT be recorded and distributed to members after this event nor will be available for future viewing on the IECA Member Resource Library.
Learning Objective: Participants will be able to explain the purpose and function of indemnity provisions in energy trading agreements and distinguish how they allocate risk between parties, including the treatment of third-party versis counterparty claims and the recovery of consequential and incidental damages.
